Terms & Conditions

1. Services Offered

Academic Edge Australia provides private tutoring for VCE Physics and Mathematical Methods. Sessions are delivered online via Zoom, and may include supplementary materials or revision support tailored to student needs.

2. Pricing Plans

Tutoring sessions are purchased in prepaid packages:

Starter Pack – 3 sessions (valid for 4 weeks)
Core Pack – 5 sessions (valid for 6 weeks)
Accelerator Pack – 10 sessions (valid for 11 weeks)

Each plan provides flexible scheduling within the stated time period. Sessions not used before the plan expires are forfeited and cannot be refunded or carried over.

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Attendance

Rescheduling: You may reschedule a booked session with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Late Cancellations: If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the session will be forfeited.
Grace Window: The Core and Accelerator Packs include one grace session per plan for late cancellations or changes.
Late Arrival: Tutors will remain available for 15 minutes past the scheduled start time. After this point, the session will be considered a no-show and forfeited.

4. Zoom Policy

All sessions are held via Zoom. Clients must ensure a reliable internet connection and be ready to begin at the scheduled time. Disruptions caused by poor internet or lack of preparation may reduce the effectiveness of the session and will not be compensated.

5. Plan Expiry

All plans must be used within the following timeframes:

Starter: 4 weeks
Core: 6 weeks
Accelerator: 11 weeks
Unused sessions after the expiry date will be forfeited.

6. Refunds & Cancellations of Plans

Plans are non-refundable once purchased.
Clients may cancel their plan at any time via their Wix account dashboard. Cancellation will prevent further bookings or automatic renewals (if ever applicable), but unused sessions will not be refunded.

7. Client Intake & Session Content

After purchasing a plan, first-time clients will receive an intake form to specify their subject (Physics or Methods), goals, and availability. This information ensures personalised, effective tutoring.

8. Child Safety & Compliance

Academic Edge Australia is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. The lead tutor, Harry, holds a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), as required under Australian law for child-related work.

9. Academic Integrity

Tutoring services are provided for educational support only. Academic Edge Australia does not complete assessments or exams on behalf of students. All work must reflect the student’s own effort.

10. Intellectual Property

All tutoring materials, resources, and session content remain the intellectual property of Academic Edge Australia and may not be distributed or reused without permission.

11. Changes to Terms

Academic Edge Australia reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of material updates, and continued use of services indicates agreement to the revised terms.
